This was one of the only pictures i took in NOWHERE, MS (a.k.a Tunica). I went with Chris on a work trip and it was the worst hotel I've ever stayed in. I'm not all that picky (I can sleep on a plane, I can sleep in a car, I can sleep on the floor where I fell in a bar) but this place was a real piece. The sheets felt like they were made out of burlap, and every time I moved in the night, they were so LOUD because they were so cheap and crunchy that several times in my sleep haze I actually started brushing off the bed because I thought I had left some work papers under the covers and was rolling on them. The sad part was that we were only 20 miles from Memphis and never even went!

Despite the crusty sheets...this is great shot! I'm never able to photograph birds (this is why I need the mega zoom) so this is particularly impressive!
Well the irony is that this little sucker was in the exact same spot for HOURS. I took the picture from the hotel room and when I went downstairs to get closer, he was nowhere to be found.
Beautiful shot! I love how the whole thing is tinted kind of blue.
